Children & Youth

Our Children's Ministry mission statement is 'empowering children to become heirs of God and heirs of Christ'. This year our teaching sessions will be on the
parable of the talents, helping children to identify that God created them with gifts. Creativity is more than dance and music, creativity is poetry, how to crunch numbers and being all you were created to be.

This year's theme is based on releasing creativity. Sessions will encourage the children to express their creativity in a variety of ways. We are aware of the immense potential within our children so we will also provide sessions to discover and unlock their potential. This will include drama sessions, talent shows etc. It promises to be a fun time!

The teenage years are about finding yourself and in finding yourself, you want to know what you were created to be and do. Join our Teen Sessions this year to discover your place, purpose and gifting.

We also have Doug Horley (Duggie Dug Dug) on Wed 1st June for an All Age Celebration. He is an awesome entertainer and the children are looking forward
to participating in this event.

Debbie Laycock

Debbie Laycock graduated from Cambridge in Classics and then worked for two years with an evangelistic youth and schools work project in inner city London. She later trained in theology, church leadership and church planting with Ichthus Christian Fellowship on the Radical Network course and has been working with Ichthus ever since.

She is on the leadership of a congregation in East Greenwich which she helped to plant eleven years ago and she also manages the Training Programmes in Ichthus.

She teaches some theology and New Testament Greek, and recently gained a certificate in Ancient Near Eastern Languages, majoring on Biblical Hebrew.

Debbie got married to Joe in December 2007 and they live in South East London. They have a heart to see their community reached with the love of Jesus Christ

Release

Release are a dance crew from Bristol, formed in Sept 2009. Since then they have been developing in different hip hop styles and performing over the UK. Their performances are creative in choreography, with unique messages, confronting day to day choices.

Release have a passion to use their skills to inspire and motivate young people to chase after their dreams.

Doug has a national and international ministry working with children and song writing.

His heart is simply to see children meet with Jesus in a real and profound way and to have a
bunch of fun as well!
